1. How to choose implants?
1) Mechanical properties of implants: Implant technology is based on the development of modern mechanical processing.
Good processing performance can meet the needs of morphological design. Good implants can bear static and dynamic chewing and biting forces, and will not break, deform or wear during use.
2) Biocompatibility of materials: Whether the implants as "foreigners" can pass the test of their own immune system and integrate well with the surrounding tissues without producing rejection reactions is the top priority for whether the implants can be retained for a long time.
At present, most implants are widely used in pure titanium, which has good compatibility with the human body and can better integrate with the alveolar bone, making bone integration smoother.
3) Surface treatment of implants: After the implant is implanted, if it wants to stabilize in the alveolar bone, osteoblasts need to attach to the surface of the implant, and then differentiate into osteocytes to form implant bone integration.
Therefore, it is very important to increase the surface area of the implant and make bone integration faster and more effective as much as possible.

2. How to choose the abutment?
The implant abutment, referred to as the abutment, is the middle part connecting the implant and the crown.
It is the part of the implant exposed outside the mucosa, and its function is to provide support, retention and stability for the crown.
There are usually two types of abutments at present, the original abutment and the non-original abutment. Most implants include abutments, which are original accessories. The original abutments are guaranteed in terms of quality assurance and quality.

3. How to choose a crown?
After implantation, the crown of the implant replaces our missing teeth and rotten teeth and becomes our "facade". Therefore, when choosing a crown, people are more and more concerned about the beauty and practicality of the crown.
According to the different materials, the commonly used crowns are divided into two categories: porcelain crowns and all-ceramic crowns. In addition to the price, there are also obvious differences between them:
Porcelain crown: The crown is composed of metal and porcelain. The appearance and color are similar to real teeth. The inner layer is a metal base and the outer layer is covered with a layer of porcelain. The inner metal layer has a certain irritation to the gums, and it is not suitable for people with metal allergies; the combination of metal and porcelain is poor, which often leads to the peeling of the porcelain layer, commonly known as "broken porcelain"; porcelain crowns will release metal ions, and black lines will appear on the gums after long-term use; it will affect MRI; and the aesthetics is poor when used on front teeth.
All-ceramic crowns: All-ceramic crowns are cut from porcelain blocks, do not contain metal, and have no effect on MRI; it has a similar hardness to real teeth, so there will be no porcelain collapse when biting, it is strong and durable, has a long service life, and will not have problems such as black lines on the gums; at the same time, its layers and colors are closer to our own real teeth, there is no irritation to the gums, and the aesthetics are very good. So generally speaking, if the economy allows, it is recommended to make all-ceramic teeth, which are more durable and more beautiful.
