Product Description

Multi-Unit brings quality, versatility, and innovation to your ALL-on-X restorations. Experience adaptability to different implant angulations, amplified prosthesis safety, enhanced connection stability, variable gingival heights, and a standardized prosthetic platform.

17° angled multi unit abutment is a type of restoration abutment that is used to correct or compensate for the lack of common placement between adjacent implants due to insufficient bone mass and other reasons. Load abutments are mostly used in the restoration of posterior teeth with half-portion implants. The angle is mostly 0° for anterior teeth, 17° and 30° for posterior teeth. The abutment consists of two parts, (abutment and central screw).

The abutment and the implant are connected by a central screw, and the restoration and the abutment are connected by screws.

Key Features

Angled Design

The term "angled" refers to the design of the abutment, which allows for the correction of the implant's angle.

When dental implants are placed at non-ideal or slightly tilted angles due to bone structure, anatomical limitations, or other factors, these angled abutments help to align the prosthetic restoration properly, even if the implants themselves are not placed at the perfect angle.

Multi-Unit

"Multi-Unit" indicates that this abutment is used in cases where multiple implants are involved, such as in full-arch restorations (e.g., All-on-4 or All-on-6 systems).

These abutments allow for the creation of a stable platform for attaching a bridge or other large prosthesis across multiple implants, making them crucial for implant-supported dentures or multi-tooth restorations.

Functionality

Angled Multi-Unit Abutments are typically used in situations where the implants have been placed at different angles, and the prosthetic restoration needs to compensate for these variations.

They provide a way to correct angulation and achieve a functional and esthetic outcome without the need to reposition the implants.

Common Applications

They are often used in full-arch implant restorations (e.g., All-on-4 or All-on-6), where several implants are placed in the jaw to support a fixed or removable prosthesis.

They can also be used in implant-supported bridges and overdentures.

Compatibility

These abutments are specifically designed for use with Nobel Biocare implant systems. They integrate seamlessly with the company's implant components, ensuring a precise fit for optimal function and esthetics.

Clinical Benefits

Enhanced Esthetics and Function

By correcting implant angulation, the angled multi-unit abutment ensures that the final prosthesis is positioned optimally, both for aesthetics and functional performance.

Improved Prosthetic Flexibility

The ability to adjust the angle allows for a broader range of treatment options, particularly in cases with difficult implant positions or less-than-ideal bone anatomy.

Faster Treatment Times

Since there's no need to reposition implants, treatment can be faster, especially in cases where there's already limited bone or other anatomical challenges.

FAQ

Q: What is a multi-unit implant abutment?

A: Multi-unit abutments (MUA) are specialized abutments that are commonly used in coordination with zygomatic dental implants, as well as full arch replacements, which are also known as all-on-four dental implants. MUA are available in a variety of sizes and angulations.

Q: When to use multiunit abutments?

A: An MUA is a specialized abutment commonly used with zygomatic dental implants and full arch replacements (all-on-four dental implants). A multi-unit abutment addresses cases where two or more dental implants are placed near each other, typically when replacing multiple missing teeth in a row.

Q: What is the divergence of a multi-unit abutment?

A: The Multi-unit abutments are available with a 17° and a 30° angulation. With the 30° angled Multi-unit abutments, divergences of up to 102° can be compensated. The Multi-unit abutments are available in various gingival heights.

Q: What is a mua dental?

A: Multi-unit abutment. A multi-unit abutment is a type of abutment that allows for the connection of multiple implant fixtures to a single prosthesis. They can be angled or straight, and come in various sizes and shapes to fit different implant systems and clinical situations.

Q: Can abutment and crown be placed at same time?

A: In certain situations, a temporary crown may be placed immediately after the abutment, protecting the implant as the gum heals. In other cases, the dentist may advise waiting a few weeks or even months to allow for complete healing and osseointegration before the permanent crown is fitted.
